Wetherby’s biggest festive day returns on Sunday 13 December 2026, when the Wetherby District Lions’ Dickensian Christmas Market & Craft Fayre takes over the Market Place and the Town Hall.

Artisan stalls fill the outdoor market (curated by Littlebird Made), while the Town Hall hosts the indoor craft fayre (curated by Beecrafty Markets). Expect music and choirs, hot food — including the Lions’ own bacon butty stall — and Santa himself, with the chance to have your photo taken on Santa’s sleigh.
The Lions will also present their annual Wetherby Townsperson of the Year Award during the day, and the market raises money for the Lions’ Midwinter Party and local community causes. Later in the afternoon Santa sets off to begin his December sleigh rounds of Wetherby’s streets — the Lions will publish the 2026 route list nearer the time.
