Scatcherd Park is Morley’s main park, right by the town centre — the town’s green living room for well over a century.
The war memorial stands here, the focus of the Remembrance Sunday service each November. Under the Morley Town Deal the sunken garden is being restored, with a new playground to follow; there is a skate park by Queensway on the park’s edge, and the leisure centre sits just across the grass.
