The art deco block on Hunslet Road was the headquarters of Tetley’s brewery, the firm that brewed in Leeds for 200 years. Since the brewery closed, The Tetley has been the city’s centre for contemporary art.

Exhibitions are free and change through the year, in galleries that keep the building’s 1930s character — and there is still a bar downstairs pouring, among other things, Tetley’s.
