Golden Acre Park: lake, wildfowl and demonstration gardens

On the Otley Road between Adel and Bramhope, Golden Acre Park covers 137 acres around a lake full of ducks, geese and swans — it began life in the 1930s as a pleasure park, and kept the best of that inheritance.

The demonstration gardens show what Leeds gardeners can grow; there are woodland walks, a café, and the park links by footpath to Breary Marsh and, further on, the Meanwood Valley Trail.
