Horsforth Village Museum: the old village in five rooms

At 5 The Green, in a building put up in 1789 that once housed Horsforth’s council, the Horsforth Village Museum has been keeping the old village’s memory since 1988. It is run entirely by volunteers of the Horsforth Historical Society.

Inside: a Victorian schoolroom, First and Second World War displays, a model back-to-back house of around 1850, maps, photographs and a large local archive for family historians. Displays change every couple of years.
