Leeds Grand Theatre: go behind the curtain

The Grand Theatre (1878) is the “Grand Old Lady of Leeds” — a 1,500-seat Victorian opera house on New Briggate, home to Opera North and the city’s big touring musicals and ballet (fixtures are in our What’s On season posts).

But you do not need a show ticket to see inside. Leeds Heritage Theatres runs bookable backstage tours: up to two hours of hidden corridors, stage machinery and 145 years of stories. Tours cost £20 per person and must be booked in advance — popular dates sell out.
