A brand new neighbourhood bistro has opened in the heart of Horsforth, designed to carry the day from morning coffee to evening drinks.

Owners Wayne Ince and Andy Godfrey have created Hive Bar as a place for every occasion: pastries and sourdoughs in the morning, sharing boards and drinks later on. The design, by Studio 93 with Trinxa as main contractor, mixes the warmth of a beehive with a hint of speakeasy — honeyed tones, exposed brickwork and a statement bar built by Cedarwell.
The menu leans proudly local. Morning bakes come from the Fat Pigeon bakery in Bramley and coffee from Yorkshire supplier Casa Coffee, while sharing platters feature meats from Lishmans of Ilkley, Yorkshire cheeses from Metz in Farsley and dairy from MD Dairies. Drinks include European and local beers, Wolfe Bros gins and wines from Eden Wines.
