A programme of final road surfacing will run from Monday 9 November to Sunday 29 November, with a series of overnight lane and road closures across the junction and surrounding routes. The night-time working is designed to minimise disruption during peak daytime hours.

The junction, where the A647 Bradford Road meets the A6120 Leeds Outer Ring Road, handles around 57,000 vehicles a day. Signed diversion routes will be in place, and drivers are advised to allow extra travel time, particularly for journeys between 8pm and 5am.

Access to New Pudsey railway station and the Owlcotes Shopping Centre will be maintained throughout the works.

The surfacing marks a key milestone in the £44.1 million Dawsons Corner and Stanningley Bypass improvement scheme, delivered by Leeds City Council with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority. Once complete, the rebuilt junction will have dedicated bus lanes, smarter traffic signals, wider pavements and safer crossings for pedestrians and cyclists.
